Flipkart label size in mm (and inches, points and pixels)

The Flipkart shipping label is a standard 4×6 inch thermal label — 101.6×152.4 mm, which everyone rounds to 100×150 mm. Here is the exact size in every unit you might need it in, and how to print it at that size without the barcode going soft.

“100 × 150 mm” and “4 × 6 inch” describe the same label — the 1.6 mm difference is just rounding. Buy either; they fit the same printer.

The catch: Flipkart doesn’t give you a 4×6 file

The label is 4×6, but the PDF you download from Seller Hub is full A4 (210×297 mm). Flipkart prints the shipping label into the top portion of each A4 page and the tax invoice underneath it. So the file is A4; the label inside it is 4×6.

That mismatch is the whole reason labels print wrong. Send the A4 PDF straight to a 100×150 mm thermal printer and one of two things happens:

The fix is to crop the 4×6 label region out of the A4 page first, put it on its own 4×6 page, and print that. The free Flipkart label cropper does exactly this in your browser — it finds the label rectangle on every page and rebuilds each one as a true 4×6 page, so the barcode keeps its original resolution.

Once you have the cropped 4×6 PDF, in the print dialog set:

Print one label first and scan the barcode to confirm, then run the batch. Full walkthrough: how to print a Flipkart label on a thermal printer.

No thermal printer? Print 4×6 on A4

Plenty of small sellers have no thermal printer. A 4×6 label prints fine on a normal A4 printer — you just use a full sheet per label unless you place several to a page and cut. The label is still the correct 4×6 size; you are only changing the paper it lands on.

Frequently asked questions

What is the Flipkart shipping label size in mm?
A Flipkart thermal shipping label is 4×6 inches, which is 101.6×152.4 mm — almost always sold and set as a 100×150 mm label. That is the size of the label itself; Flipkart delivers it inside a full A4 PDF with a tax invoice below, so you crop the 4×6 label region out before printing.
What is 4×6 inches in pixels?
It depends on the printer resolution. On a 203 DPI thermal printer (the most common) a 4×6 label is 812×1218 pixels. On a 300 DPI printer it is 1200×1800 pixels. Points (used inside the PDF) are fixed at 72 per inch, so 4×6 is always 288×432 pt.
Which label roll should I buy for Flipkart?
A 100×150 mm (4×6 inch) direct-thermal shipping-label roll. Direct thermal means no ink or ribbon. This one size fits Flipkart, Amazon, Meesho and every other Indian marketplace shipping label.
Why does my Flipkart label print tiny or cut off?
Because you are printing the raw A4 PDF. The label is a small rectangle in the corner of an A4 sheet, so "Fit to page" shrinks it to postage-stamp size and the barcode stops scanning. Crop the label to its own 4×6 page first, then print at 100% (Actual size) on 100×150 mm media.
Is the Flipkart label the same size as Amazon and Meesho?
Yes — all of them are 4×6 inch (100×150 mm) shipping labels. The difference is only how each marketplace wraps the label inside its PDF, not the label size. So one 100×150 mm roll works for every marketplace.
